Well so far this year has been fairly uneventful...lol for the first 5 days anyways! Zac had time off for New Years, which was nice. But I think he was happy to go back to work, because up here it is really hard to do anything without spending money. We used to just go hang out at our parents house and bum out with siblings which was always fun, but we dont know anyone here. I think I am getting a package... the mail man just stopped infront of my door.
So I have my first interview on Friday, it is at Modern Day Mommies, Im not entirely sure what the position entails, but it is a part time stay at home position, not to mention the only interview I have, so I figure I will run with it. Ive applied for so many of the other chain stores too, ie: Macys, Nordstroms, etc... I dont understand why job applying is such a big ordeal nowadays... Ive had to fill out 45 minutes worth of application, 90% of which are answering these psychiatric evaluation questions. They have you rate the statements 1-5, and then give you the same questions over and over again, only worded differently. Are we all just a bunch of psychopaths that we need to screen people so much? Its killing me.
I've found a new band I like too... The Squirrel Nut Zippers... Cecelia if this band doesnt remind you of Nick Brewer, it should. Its so completely Zoot Suit style, with a underground modern-esque to it. The girls voice reminds me a bit of a higher pitched Rosemary Clooney. Reminds me of something I'd see in the jazz bar in Downtown Portland.
Ok Ive got to continue cleaning so my break is over.
